About The Sapphire Sands Guest Suite
Sapphire Sands offers discerning, budget-conscious guests a boutique, ‘value-added’ vacation rental experience while visiting the South-Central Oregon coast. This enchanting, unique, and beautifully appointed cedar-shingle guest suite with hot tub and free secure wifi has been carefully tailored to meet the needs of vacationing single adults and couples. The minimum age to rent and reside in the suite is 28, and no infants, children, teens, or pets are allowed on the premises. There is also a two guest maximum that is not negotiable. Smoking is allowed on the patio only.
This comfortable, self-contained 405 square foot suite with private entrances is loaded with thoughtful amenities designed to make you feel pampered during your stay. Guests also have exclusive use of 1150 of usable outdoor space, including a hot tub / courtyard area, sun-room, patio, lawn area, and related amenities. The suite sits on over a third of an acre filled with pine trees and lush, flowering landscaping that provides a feeling of privacy and seclusion within the heart of Heceta Beach. The owner lives on the South side of this large ‘H’-shaped house one floor up, connected by a breezeway, and there are no shared walls with the owners’ living quarters. There is plenty of off-street parking in front of the house. For guests who have difficulty climbing stairs, off-street parking behind the main house can be arranged with advance notice, as can RV parking (when available). While there are no ocean views from the suite itself, you will enjoy hearing the sounds of the crashing surf while relaxing in the hot tub or on your private patio. A beachfront restaurant and lounge; Mini-Mart; popular local pub; and a park offering public access to Heceta Beach are all within easy walking distance from the Sapphire Sands. Historic Old Town, the Sea Lion Caves, C&M Stables, Sand Boarding, and several great hiking trails are all just a short car drive away.
It is the owners’ goal to ensure that all guests of the Sapphire Suite experience a sense of peace, serenity, and privacy during their stay. The owner (Rebecca) is therefore available to offer you tips and suggestions that will help you to make the most of your stay while vacationing on the Oregon coast beyond what might already be included in the suite’s extensive ‘Welcome Guide’. There are no shared walls in the suite and guests have the ground floor to themselves.
The Sapphire Sands guest suite has zonal heating as well as an electric pot-bellied stove and includes a kitchenette, bathroom, spacious bedroom; and a sitting area perfect for kicking back and reading a book or working on your computer. There’s a 32 inch Roku (Internet Streaming) TV for those times you want to watch a movie, catch up on the news, or view a favorite TV show, as well as free (secure) Wifi for sharing vacation photos with friends or checking out Yelp Reviews on the many restaurants, shops, and services available in Florence, including the historical historic Old Town district. The Sapphire Sands guest suite was designed with the discerning guest in mind, and is loaded with many thoughtful amenities, accents, and personal touches that were inspired by the owner’s quest to create the ideal ’boutique’ beach vacation rental suite that utilizes space in unexpected and creative ways. This quiet, well insulated, energy efficient suite (reinforced with storm windows and steel column construction) features:
- A kitchenette that has a sink; a two door mini-fridge; microwave; Brita water filter; electric skillet; convection bake oven; crock-pot; bagel toaster; and a 12-pot programmable coffee maker. Plates, cups, flatware, and many other kitchen items and gadgets make the kitchenette fully functional if you choose to cook and eat in. There is a small dining table in the kitchenette that seats two, and there’s a table and chairs (along with lawn furniture) near the suite if you’d like to dine outside. There is also a charcoal grill on the patio for guests’ use.
- A small, airy, and bright sitting room with a large storage closet for stowing luggage and/or the bounty collected during shopping sprees in Florence’s historical ‘Old Town’ district
- A spacious bathroom with hardwood floors, lots of counter-space and cupboards, and shower surround
- A relaxing, well insulated, coastal-themed bedroom with Queen bed and ‘Resort Sleep’ Memory Foam Mattress; electric fireplace; Roku (internet streaming) TV; iTOMA Radio Alarm Clock (with Bedside FM Radio, Bluetooth, Dual Alarm, and USB Charging), black-out curtains; fan and sound masker (for tinnitus sufferers), and a double door closet that makes unpacking and organizing your belongings a breeze.
Guests can step through the suite’s second private entrance into the charming, rustic courtyard area influenced by New Mexican Arts & Crafts design. The courtyard features a bromine (non-chlorine) hot tub that is wonderful to relax in at the end of a fun-filled day exploring all that the Florence area has to offer. Two spa robes are provided to guests to use during their stay, along with Turkish spa towels. Beach towels, beach chairs, and even a picnic backpack for two are available upon request.
Outdoor areas for guests’ use include a private patio near the suite with table, chairs, lawn furniture, and charcoal grill, as well as a lovely cedar-shingled sun-room / greenhouse to relax in while listening to the nearby sounds of the surf.
